I moved to London from Italy in 2002 and I started working in post-production working as a runner in a post production facility in Soho, 'The Offline Editing Company'. I then started working as an assistant editor on films and TV dramas, where I would sometimes serve as an assembly or additional editor.

After three years of running and assisting I applied for the editing MA at the National Film and Television School. The course at the NFTS is mainly practical, so I found myself locked into a cutting room for two years, coming out of the course in 2008 with a bunch of short films that toured the world in film festivals such as Berlin, Sundance and Locarno.

In 2009 I had another brief spell as an assistant editor to my mentor, editor Valerio Bonelli ('Hannibal Rising', 'Philomena') on Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's 'Cemetery Junction'.

Since then I have been working mainly on drama, cutting a number of short films and low budget features. My passion is for character-based, atmospheric cinema, oblique storytelling and challenging films.

My most recent feature film, 'Hide and Seek' (d. Joanna Coates) is a daring drama about sexuality and relationships, shot on a micro budget and mostly improvised. It premiered this year at he Edinburgh Film festival where it won the Michael Powell Award for best British feature.

My most recent short, 'Keeping Up with the Joneses' (d. Michael Pearce) received a BAFTA and BIFA nomination and is currently touring festivals around the world.

I am currently (December 2014) in post production of Ilya Khrzhanovsky's 'Dau', a film based on the life of Russian scientist Lev Landau and the biggest co production to date of Russia and Europe.
